Professor Ajay Mahajan of AM Aesthetic Surgery has enjoyed a distinguished career at the top of his field. He trained at world-renowned centres for breast surgery at Akademiklinken, Stockholm, Sweden, as well as Belgium's University Hospital, Gent.

Professor Mahajan's work across several disciplines of cosmetic surgery has allowed him to specialise in 'mommy makeovers', which use breast implants (augmentation), breast lifts, breast reductions and mastopexy (breast lift with augmentation) in combination with liposuction and tummy tucks. The makeovers are especially popular with new mums getting back into shape after pregnancy.

Over years of cosmetic surgery practice from surgeries in Yorkshire, Professor Mahajan has built up a name as one of the country's leading practitioners in the field and further practice in Stockholm, Sweden, saw Professor Mahajan expand his cosmetic surgery skills to include rhinoplasty, facelifts, neck lifts, ear corrections and eyelid lifts.

Professor Mahajan practices the Akademikliniken school's Beauty through Science approach to surgery. His evidence-based practice helped earn him a position as director of Bradford University's prestigious Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit ( PSBU). He is also a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, as well as Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

A wealth of further professional body memberships and accreditations is further evidence of Professor Mahajan's commitment to excellent surgical standards. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (IPRAS) and the Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS).
