The NHS suggests that people should have their eyes tested once every two years however, if there is a history of eye problems and disease (such as glaucoma & diabetes) in your family, it may be necessary to have more frequent appointments.

It is important that everyone has regular eye tests as vision can deteriorate very slowly and you may not be aware of any changes. You may also have specific problems with your eyes and vision which can only be detected with an eye exam.
