If you suffer from a sleep problem or a sleep disorder and would like to seek professional advice and treatment, contact your GP or book an appointment at a sleep centre or sleep clinic.  There are numerous centres/clinics located throughout the UK and they often offer both private and NHS treatment.

Sleep centres (or sleep clinics) are places where sleep disorders can be monitored.  You will be invited to spend the day/night in the centre and various tests can be carried out depending on your sleep disorder. The idea of going into a centre for sleep investigations may seem daunting but you will be made to feel comfortable and the tests will be conducted in bedroom-like rooms. You may be asked to spend a day and night in the sleep centre depending on the kind of tests that need to be carried out. The tests are painless and you will be made to feel relaxed and at ease.
