Labiaplasty on the NHS
Find Labiaplasty Surgery Clinics in London & UK »
It is possible to get a labiaplasty on the NHS and you can be referred by your GP. In order to be eligible for an NHS labiaplasty you will need to have physical reasons why you require one. These might be:
- Pain during sexual intercourse
- Discomfort due to rubbing on clothes
- Rare hormonal disorders causing the labia minora to enlarge
- Damage done after giving birth
It is also possible to get a labiaplasty on the NHS even if there is little real medical need for one. This would be if the size of your labia are causing you real psychological damage such as depression or self-esteem problems. You will need to be assessed in order to determine whether or not this is the case, and then you will be referred to a gynaecologist.
