Tear Production is a procedure you may need to undergo ahead of any cosmetic surgery on around around the eye. Most commonly it will be performed prior to a Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery.
Prior to a Blepharoplasty you will have to under go a thorough Tear Production assessment. This measures your eyes ability to produce tears as a defensive and healing mechanism. It should be performed as a standard preparatory procedure in the course of your pre-surgical assessment. If your Tear Production is not adequate you may not be suitable for a Blepharoplasty.
