Clinic details: Looking for fertility treatments in Brighton & Hove? Then The Agora Gynaecology and Fertility Centre is a superb one stop shop for a whole host of infertility treatments that are in line with national averages and fully approved and accredited by the HFEA. Treatments include the famous IVF technique (in vitro fertilisation), which involves the fertilisation of an egg by sperm in a lab environment to form an embryo that will be implanted in your uterus and hopefully carried through to term. The ICSI procedure (intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection) is a refinement of IVF that increases its chances of success, and is also offered at The Agora Centre. ICSI involves directly introducing a sperm cell to an egg, which is a great way to bypass male infertility and improve your chances of conception. Alternative techniques are of course also provided by The Agora, including the increasingly successful intra-uterine insemination technique of artificial insemination, which improves the chances of a successful fertilisation by introducing semen into the uterus while eggs are present. Donor insemination is also an invaluable offering at the centre.
Fertility treatment at this clinic: Armed with a suite of different facilities and services for its patients, The Agora Gynaecology and Fertility Centre is an excellent provider of fertility treatments and assisted reproduction techniques. Boasting its own laboratory, procedure room, recovery room,Satellite centres, and theatre facilities, the clinic provides its patients with everything they need from one easy to access site. You can be confident that one physician will be yours throughout your treatment, and if you want a female doctor will be at your disposal upon request. The Agora Centre provides its insemination, IVF, and ICSI treatments both privately and through the NHS, and has held its HFEA license since February 2007, a license which has been renewed as of February 2011 following an HFEA inspection. The centre also recruits sperm, egg, and embryo donors to provide you with donor treatment options if necessary. Meeting and exceeding HFEA targets for single live births with a proportion of 80.4% compared to the target 76%, The Agora Centre's IVF and ICSI treatments are consistent with the national average in terms of live birth rates.
