Celebrity Doctor Admits Hair Transplant

Dr Christian Jessen, star of channel 4 series Embarrassing Bodies, has admitted that he underwent a hair transplant operation - and is more than happy with the results. Dr Jessen told Closer magazine that he had the operation over one year ago to thicken his hair and improve the cosmetic appearance of his hairline.
The 33 year old explained that even though his hairline wasn't receding, he opted to undergo an individual follicle transplant to improve the shape of his hairline. The procedure involved removing hair from the back of the head and nape of the neck and re-positioning the individual hairs at the front of the hairline.
Dr Jessen claims that he felt motivated to undergo the procedure after seeing a patient from the channel 4 series successfully undergo a similar hair transplant treatment. The doctor says that having a hair transplant is not something to hide or be ashamed of. It is hoped that the doctor's candour will enable more men to undergo hair transplants of their own.
