Drinking Water Aids Weight Loss

Drinking two glasses of water before eating a meal could be the key to losing weight, according to new research. Scientists in Virginia found that slimmers who drank water before meals ate between 75 - 90 calories less than slimmers who did not drink before meals. Researchers hope that adopting the habit could help overweight and obese people to reach a healthy target weight.

Researchers explain that drinking two cups of water could help dieter's to lose weight as the fluid has no calories and reduces calorific intake by causing slimmers to feel full before eating, leaving them less inclined to over-eat.

Whilst scientists hope that the technique could be used to help slimmers lose weight, experts have warned that people should avoid over-drinking which can result in water intoxication - a rare, but harmful condition.
