Fatty Breakfast Aids Weight Loss
Wednesday 7th April 2010
Scientist have found that breakfast may truly be the most important meal of the day when it comes to fighting fat. Researchers in America have conducted a study that seems to show that eating a breakfast that is high in fat could be the key to losing weight. Scientists at the University of Alabama have produced research that suggests that eating a fatty morning meal could boost the body’s metabolism and help people to lose weight. It is hoped that this new research could help people to shed excess weight and maintain a healthy body weight.
Researchers reached their conclusion by examining the results of various diets in mice. They found that feeding mice a diet consisting of a high fat breakfast and low fat evening meal resulted in a dramatic improvement in the speed of their metabolism. More importantly, researchers found that the mice also experienced a lower incidence of metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome can lead to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, liver disease and more.
It is hoped that the research can be used in order to help slimmers, across the world, to achieve and maintain weight loss. Dieting is becoming more and more important due to the growing levels of global obesity and weight related health problems. Researchers hope that this study can also provide insights that will lead to the development of diets for people whose body weight put them at high risk of developing conditions including heart disease, liver disease, diabetes and more.
