Clicking/Whistling/Smacking Sounds when Talking with Dentures
Find UK Dentists »
This can happen as a result of your dentures slipping or becoming loose in your mouth. If the denture has fallen loose, this means that your tongue and cheek muscles will be working harder to hold it in place and it may become more difficult to form words. Again these symptoms are more associated with older people wearing dentures as they are often a result of your mouth changing over a long period of denture wear. Consulting your dentist should allow them to adjust the dentures and easily resolve this problem.
