Private Genetic Testing
Genetic blood tests have a wide range of applications, from screening for genetic diseases to identifying the paternity of a child. Blood is just one of many sample types that can be analysed to reveal the information required. Hair, skin and, in the case of testing foetuses, amniotic fluid can be analysed to examine its DNA. Every cell in your body has the same DNA contained within it, explaining why such a diverse range of things can be analysed. However, the advantage blood has is that it is not only simple to analyse, but there is a considerable quantity of it. You may not be so happy with having to have a sample of your hair cut off when you could simply just have a small blood test.
