Cure for Premature Ejaculation

The first question men often ask about PE is whether there is a cure for the condition.  A quick search on the internet will bring up countless sites promising a “quick fix” to the problem, when in reality these products fail to deliver.  The truth is that there is no such thing as a “quick fix” when it comes to PE; however that does not mean there aren’t ways to help you overcome the disorder.

Managing the condition

It is generally considered that there is no one complete cure for PE, though most men are able to successfully manage the disorder.  A combination of treatments is the most likely way to ensure you see improvement in your symptoms than any one treatment alone.  Resolving any underlying cause will also make treatment more likely to be successful.  Many of the options available to you that can significantly improve your PE have the downside that they have to be used continually (e.g. anaesthetic cream must be applied each time before intercourse) so are not considered a cure.  This is often the case with topical products and drugs.  On the other hand, treatments such as the Masters and Johnson technique can allow you to retrain your ejaculatory control and so more permanently cure the condition, but they require a lot of practice.

Your treatment plan should aim to improve your symptoms and help you manage the condition.  Solutions which require constant use each time you have sex offer are better for the short term while you work to resolve any deeper psychological issues at play.  Ultimately though you should look at what gives you the best chance of making a permanent change to your sexual control.  This in turn will enhance your quality of life and help satisfy you and your partner’s sexual relationship needs.
