Drinking Acohol & Taking Xenical
It is important to be wary and to ask this question before taking a new medication, however, it is almost a certainty that alcohol and Xenical do not interact to produce negative side effects. Therefore, it is safe to drink alcohol while you are taking Xenical.
However, alcoholic drinks are surprisingly high in calories. Many people would not think that a liquid (especially alcoholic drinks which have fruit in them) could have high calorie content, but three pints of an average 4% lager can contain roughly six hundred calories and an averagely sized bottle of 10% wine can have as much as over five hundred calories.
Due to their high calorie content (that could potentially become fat) it is advisable that you reduce the amount of alcohol which you drink while you are taking Xenical. This will improve your chances of reducing your body fat and losing weight.
