Chronic Insomnia
Chronic insomnia often occurs should you leave your short-term insomnia untreated and it can last for many months with at least three nights sleep a week being disrupted. As it is left to fester for a longer period of time, it can become a serious problem and cause symptoms of depression. If you are suffering from disrupted sleep at least three nights a week, and feel that your sleeping pattern is becoming progressively worse, you should consult your doctor. Untreated insomnia can worsen your health, cause a lack of concentration and affect personal/work relationships. With treatment, your symptoms of insomnia can be eased and there is no reason why you should not enjoy a good night’s sleep.
