Stimulants
Stimulants include caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. They are highly un-recommended for people who suffer from any kind of sleep disorder as they can stimulate your body when your body should be trying to relax to sleep. Equally, stimulants should not be sought throughout the day to ease excessive tiredness, as this will only exaggerate the problem when you come down from the stimulant high. However, stimulants are provided if you suffer from Narcolepsy to ease your excessive daytime sleepiness. Your doctor will provide you with medicated stimulants (e.g. Amphetamines & Pemoline) should he/she feel that it is necessary. Otherwise, you should not rely on stimulants.
