Cauterisation is a very good way to remove a skin tag instantly.  The results are generally very good, although you do need to be aware that there is a high chance of a scar appearing due to the nature of the process.  Scars are usually very small, and not as noticeable as the skin tag would initially be, however if you suffer from keloid scarring then it would be a good idea to discuss this possibility in depth with your practitioner.  It might be that you will need medication or steroids to prevent larger, keloid scars from appearing.
