Arm & Hammer have developed this toothpaste with the statement baking soda and the addition of the ingredient, peroxide. The baking soda is a minimal abrasive that maintains to gently clean teeth and gums, whilst removing bacteria and plaque. Currently, this toothpaste is only available in the US.
What makes Arm & Hammer Peroxicare toothpaste special?
Arm & Hammer Peroxicare claims to have a novelty formula that cleans more of your mouth than the average toothpaste can. This will mean that bacteria and plaque can be removed for awkward areas of the mouth. This would reduce the overall amount of bacteria in the mouth, subsequently limiting plaque acid production. In turn, this can help eliminate halitosis as well as protect against tooth decay, tartar build up and cavities.
Peroxicare also offers the consumer steady whitening if the toothpaste is used on a regular basis as the stains are gradually broken down and removed.
The additional peroxide combines with the baking soda, to give teeth a more thorough, deep clean and polish.
How does it work?
The formula that Peroxicare is comprised of, allows for effervescent cleaning. This means that the foams the toothpaste produces, contains tiny bubbles of oxygen that clean between teeth and where each tooth enters the gum.
Recommended Usage
This toothpaste is appropriate for all the family, however, as it contains fluoride, more care should be taken if it is being used brushing a child’s teeth. The general guidelines in regards to this are that only a rather small amount of the paste should be administered onto the toothbrush and an adult should supervise the teeth cleaning to ensure the child does not swallow the foam. This is important as a significant intake of fluoride (in the foam) can cause fluorosis, where the child’s teeth a discoloured.
The toothpaste should be incorporated into your regular dental hygiene routine. It is recommended for use twice each day for the optimum results including fresh breath and whiter teeth.
