If you are rather environmentally conscious, you may wish to try using products manufactured by Tom’s of Maine. They aim to source, manufacture and package their products as environmentally friendly and as natural as possible. Whilst doing this they have not failed to provide the public with a broad range of toothpastes to suit a variety of needs:
- Whole Care Fluoride Toothpaste – This toothpaste claims to protect against cavities whilst whitening your teeth with natural silicas. It is available is four flavours – Cinnmon-Clove, Peppermint, Spearmint and Wintermint.
- Cavity Protection Fluoride Toothpaste – The fluoride in this toothpaste has been sourced naturally and is included to remineralise soft areas of enamel before they proceed to form cavities.
- Wicked Fresh Toothpaste – Designed to give you long-last fresh breath.
- Children’s Fluoride Toothpaste – This toothpaste is the only natural one designed for children that is approved by the ADA. It is available in fruity flavours to ensure the children enjoy brushing their teeth as much as possible. These flavours are Silly Strawberry and Orange Mango.
- Fluoride-Free Clean & Gentle Toothpaste – This toothpaste doesn’t contain the controversial Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, instead it has been replaced by glycyrrhizin to produce the foam.
- Fluoride-Free Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste Gel – This toothpaste contains siliicas that have been sourced from natural sand to help clean and whiten your teeth.
- Fluoride-Free Propolis and Myrrh Toothpaste – Myrrh and propolis are herbal resins that apparently aid cleaning.
- Whole Care Fluoride Toothpaste Gel – A gel version of Whole Care Fluoride Toothpaste.
- Fluoride-Free Sensitive Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth – Potassium nitrate is used as the active ingredient in this toothpaste to protect sensitive teeth from pain due to exposed dentin and nerves.
- Simply White Fluoride Toothpaste – Like the Antiplaque & Whitening toothpaste, this Simply White toothpaste uses the same silica for whitening, however, this product contains fluoride.
- Fluoride-Free Children’s Toothpaste – Fluoride has been excluded from this toothpaste so there is no worry about the child swallowing I and getting fluorosis.
- Fluoride-Free Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste – Zinc citrate is used in this toothpaste to help it clean and maintain a healthy mouth.
- Maximum Strength Sensitive Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth – The active ingredient in this toothpaste is Potassium Nitrate that has been sourced naturally. It is clinically proven to help protect against pain from sensitive teeth.
- Clean & Gentle Care – Like the fluoride-free Clean & Gentle toothpaste, this one also doesn’t contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate as it has been replaced by glycyrrhizin to produce the foam. The key difference here is that Tom’s of Maine are offering a fluoride containing option.
Tom’s of Maine’s products are ideal if you wish to find a toothpaste without fluoride, or perhaps wish to alternate between fluoride and fluoride-free toothpastes while still looking for a specialist effect such as tooth whitening.
