Aquafresh Little Teeth

Aquafresh have developed a toothpaste designed for use after their Milk Teeth product. This toothpaste is only currently available in the UK and is called Aquafresh Little Teeth. It has been formulated for the use by children between the ages of 4 and 6. The toothpaste has been designed to try and get children to adopt the tooth cleaning routine that their parents started. Aquafresh decided that by making the product intensely coloured with a bright red stripe, make your child may be more enthusiastic about cleaning their teeth everyday and getting into a good routine in regards to it.
How is this toothpaste adapted for 4 to 6 year olds?
The Department of Health recommends that for children within the age range of 4 and 6, their toothpaste should contain a fluoride content of 1350-1500 ppm; Aquafresh have aimed for the middle of this range and supply Little Teeth with a fluoride content of 1400 ppm. This higher level of fluoride is present to aid the strengthening process of the developing tooth enamel to protect the child from plaque and cavities. The increased fluoride is also useful to protect against tooth decay, after all, with all those sweets children of this age seem to find no matter where they are; extra protection in this area can’t hurt!
Like Aquafresh Milk Teeth, Little Teeth maintains the weak mint flavour so the child is not put off by any overpowering tastes. Also, similarly to any other toothpaste, this one should be used twice a day – morning and night – to maintain strong, healthy teeth and gums.
