Aquafresh Multi-Active

Aquafresh Multi-Active is currently available to consumers in the UK. It claims to provide complete care for your teeth. It contains an anti-bacterial system. This is beneficial as it kills bacteria in the mouth, which are the producers of plaque acids that can cause tooth decay, cavities and halitosis. This toothpaste provides all day protection as it apparently continues to work after you have brushed your teeth.
What are the benefits of the all day protection?
By having all day protection, bacteria are continuously fought once you have stopped brushing your teeth. This means that there are fewer microorganisms in your mouth available to produce harmful plaque acids out of left over food particles. By minimising the number of bacteria existing to do this, you are ultimately limiting the harmful processes that can cause cavities, tooth decay, gum infection and halitosis.
Just because you have all day protection, it does not mean that you should stop brushing your teeth as often. It also does not allow for less care to be taken of you teeth, such as the increase in consumption of sugary food and drink. This will provide counter-effects and you will not benefit as much as if you merely switch to using this toothpaste whilst maintaining your normal/previous oral health maintenance routine.
Recommended Usage
Aquafresh Multi-Active toothpaste is appropriate for the whole family (over the age of 2 years old). To obtain the best results, you should fully incorporate this toothpaste into your daily routine of brushing you teeth twice everyday. For children, only a rather small amount of the toothpaste should be allowed and supervision whilst brushing is necessary to prevent accidently swallowing, which can lead to fluorosis. To make this toothpaste even more suitable for the younger ones of the family, it should be used on a toothbrush with softer bristles for a nice, gentle clean.
