Aquafresh have developed a range under the title, Original, which is available in the USA. They have designed each of the toothpastes included to be suitable for the whole family, including children.

How is Aquafresh Original been made child-friendly?

Aquafresh have ensured that the mint taste of the toothpaste is relatively mild. They have allow placed a special recommendation with the products in the range, stating that only a rather small amount should be put on the child’s toothbrush. This is to minimize the amount of fluoride swallowed to try and prevent fluorosis.


The Aquafresh Original Range

  • Cavity Protection – This toothpaste contains calcium carbonate as its primary cleaning agent and as a way to further strengthen the enamel to protect against cavities. The toothpaste continues to maintain the ability to keep teeth and gums strong and healthy whilst freshening breath (this is often referred to as triple protection)
  • Extra Fresh – Also a provider of triple protection, this toothpaste has an even more minty flavour to further freshen breath. This particular toothpaste of the Original range may be less desired for use in children due to its stronger flavour.
  • Tartar Control Whitening – This toothpaste has been designed to stop new tartar building up, which is often a result of plaque hardening. This often occurs along the gum line, which can lead to gum infection and tooth decay so it is important to keep it at bay. While performing this function, Tartar Control Whitening Toothpaste also contains whiteners to remove unwanted stains from the teeth. The tartar control and whitening is all done whilst maintaining triple protection.
  • Sensitive Maximum Strength – Aquafresh have developed this toothpaste aimed at those who get tooth pain when teeth are exposed to hot, cold or sweet food and drink. The toothpaste claims to soothe the exposed nerves and reduce sensitivity so food and drink can be enjoyed once again. Like the rest of the Original range, this toothpaste also provides triple protection as well as whitening teeth over a significant period of regular brushing.
