Forgetting a Femodene ED Pill

Forgetting to take Femodene Ed is the main cause of pregnancy whilst using the pill. It makes the pill less effective and there is a chance that you could fall pregnant. It all depends on which pill you have missed, how many you have missed and where in the pack you have missed them.

If you forget to take one of the inactive pills, you can take the missed pill and continue with the rest of the pack. You may end up taking more than one pill in a day but this should not cause you any harm. You should still be protected from pregnancy if you have missed an inactive pill.

If you miss an active pill and are less than 12 hours late in taking it, take the missed pill immediately. Again, you should still be protected from pregnancy. However, if you are more than 12 hours late or have missed more than one pill, you will not be protected from pregnancy and you could get pregnant. Take the pill that you have last forgotten and continue with the rest of the strip. You will need extra contraception for seven days after this time.

If you have forgotten to take pills and there is more than seven active pills left in your pack, take the last missed pill, use extra protection and continue the pack as normal. However, if there is less than seven days of the active tablets left, you must take the last missed pill and continue the active pills as normal. When you get to the inactive pills, discard the pack and start the new pack immediately. This means that you will not have seven days of inactive pills and may not experience a withdrawal bleed. When you finish the next cycle, if you do not have a withdrawal bleed, you may be pregnant so you need to contact your doctor.

If you have had unprotected sex in the days in which you forgot to take the contraceptive pill, there is a chance that you could be pregnant. There is a greater risk of pregnancy, if you missed pills in the first seven days of the pack so you should talk to your doctor straight away, who can confirm whether or not you are pregnant.

Losing a pill

If you lose a pill, it is important you still take a pill every day especially if it is an active pill. If you lose an active pill take the last pill from the active strip and continue as normal. This will just make your cycle one day shorter. You could also take an active pill from another strip and keep this strip as a spare in case you lose any pills in the future. It is important that you take an active pill so don’t make the mistake of taking an inactive pill in its place. If you lose an inactive pill, continue your cycle as normal as this should not have any effect on the pills success rate.
