Taking Noriday
Noriday is an every day pill like every other progestogen only pill. It must be taken at the same time each day, every day in order for it to be effective. It comes in strips of pills, each with a day of the week printed above the pill bubble. You need to take one pill a day at the same time each day. Make sure that you pick a convenient time to take the pill, when starting, so that you always remember to take the pill on time. If you are late taking the pill, you will not be protected from pregnancy.
Follow the direction of the arrows; taking one pill every day and you can use the calendar strip above the pill to see if you have forgotten to take a pill. Follow the strip round until it has been completed. When it is empty, start a new strip immediately so that you do not have a pill free day. You will have a period at some point during the strip. Do not stop taking the pill for any reason because you will not be protected from pregnancy.
When you first start to use Noriday, take the pill on the first day of your period. You will need to use additional contraception for the next seven days after starting the pill.
Forgetting a pill
If you forget a pill or you are late in taking a pill you will not be protected from pregnancy. If you have forgotten to take your pill on time and it is less than three hours since you were supposed to take it, take the missed pill immediately and then continue on as normal. You should be protected from pregnancy.
However, if you are more than three hours late in taking the pill or you have missed more than one pill, you will not be protected from pregnancy. Take the last missed pill and disregard any previous missed pills. Continue with the rest of the strip as normal and use additional contraception for the next seven days. If you had unprotected sex during the time that you missed a pill, there is a chance that you could be pregnant so ask your doctor for advice.
