The Inman Aligner vs. Invisible Braces: Which is the right choice for me?
Find UK Dentists »
A number of different options are available to you if you are looking to straighten and realign your teeth. These include the Inman Aligner, a unique mechanism which can achieve rapid results, and a class of orthodontic equipment known as Invisible Braces, which include the famous Invisalign technology. Each of these technologies offer their own unique pros and cons, and this article discusses the benefits and drawbacks of these braces to help you pick from the two options.
Choosing between the Inman Aligner and Invisible Braces
Both the Inman Aligner and invisible braces offer you the chance to achieve straighter, more attractive teeth safely and effectively. Where the two products differ is in what they prioritise in their design and delivery. While invisible braces focus on discretion and, unsurprisingly, invisibility, the Inman Aligner focusses on delivering results as quickly as possible for maximum convenience.
Invisible braces include a number of different brands, perhaps the most well-known of which are Invisalign braces. These can deliver all of the benefits of orthodontic braces, but are designed to, as mentioned above, specifically address the issue of visibility where braces are concerned. Braces have a bad reputation for being highly visible, and many people uncomfortable with the presence of large metallic braces. Invisible braces are made out of transparent materials that offer a high level of discretion, and the improved confidence and comfort that comes with wearing braces that aren’t highly visible. If the look of your braces are a major concern, than this option is likely to be the one for you.
The Inman Aligner is by no means as visible as traditional metallic braces, but it does not offer the same level of discretion as invisible braces. The Inman Aligner’s offering revolves around achieving rapid results, sometimes within a handful of weeks. The Aligner is exceptionally efficient at providing a rapid, and yet safe, realignment, and it does so through a unique design which involves a system of two aligning bows. These are placed on either side of your teeth and configured to simultaneously push and pull your teeth into the desired position. This system is unique to the Inman Aligner, and makes this particular option ideal if you are looking to achieve your ends in as little time as possible.
There are other orthodontic options available to you of course, and it is always best to discuss any options you are interested in with your dentist. Beyond what these technologies offer you, you will need to factor in your needs. Your teeth will be unique to you, and your dentist will be able to assess which products are best suited to your individual needs. Fortunately there are many options available to you, and so you are likely to find one that meets your specific requirements.
