Straight and even teeth are very much the gold standard to which many of us aspire to, and for years the use of orthodontics has allowed people to adjust and realign crooked teeth for a healthier and more attractive smile. Straighter teeth offer other benefits, including improved oral health as they are easier to clean thoroughly. Unfortunately for many years orthodontic approaches have proven uncomfortable and inconvenient, now however, a number of alternatives to bulky braces are available. These include the Inman Aligner, an orthodontic tool which overcomes many of the inconveniences and discomforts of traditional braces.
Bulky and uncomfortable metal braces are often the first thing that come to mind when you think about orthodontics or straightening your teeth. These traditional braces have proven effective, however their prominence and visibility have been a deterrent to many people over the years. Not only are these braces often considered unseemly, thereby having a detrimental effect on confidence and comfort, they are also awkward within the mouth, often obstructing speech and taste. Moreover these braces were subject to routine adjustments which could be quite uncomfortable and inconvenient. These bulky braces also posed difficulties when it came to cleaning teeth and maintaining a good standard of oral hygiene.
The Inman Aligner is a system which offers the same level of effective realignment as traditional and successful orthodontic techniques, however it does so more conveniently and comfortably than most classic braces. It can also achieve your goals of straighter and healthier teeth more quickly, comfortably, and effectively.
Each Inman Aligner is tailored to your needs, and will be comprised of a simple, minimally visible, Aligner which can be used discreetly. Each Aligner is made up of two coiled springs which create an opposing force between two aligner bows. This means that, for example, to realign a set of lower teeth, the two bows are applied so that one gently pushes and the other pulls your teeth into the desired position and orientation. These coils are made up of a highly effective metal alloy comprised of both Nickel and Titanium. Once fitted, the Aligner applies a gentle force which is applied over a broad range of natural movements. The fact that the re-aligning pressure is applied in such a manner is a large part of why the Inman Aligner can so successfully straighten crooked teeth.
This simple but highly successful alignment approach can realign your teeth within anywhere between 6 and 18 weeks, depending on your teeth and how much realignment is necessary. Compare to many alternative orthodontic methods, the Inman Aligner has proven to be much quicker, and therefore more convenient. Your dentist will be able to give you a more accurate estimate of how long you might need the Inman Aligner before you achieve your goals.
The process of acquiring and making use of an Inman Aligner is quite straightforward. The first step is to contact a dentist who has worked with these Aligners in the past and arrange an appointment, during an initial consultation your dentist will help you establish whether Inman Aligners are suited to your teeth and your goals. The next step is the generation of impressions of your teeth which are sent off to Inman for the production of your very own bespoke Aligner. Your Inman Aligner will then be fitted by an appropriately trained and experienced dental expert, and you will receive instructions on how to make the most out of the aligner.
Regular appointments are needed to keep an eye on your teeth and your progress, and these are usually scheduled at 2 or 3 week intervals. These will be designed to ensure that everything is going as it should, and it is important that you keep these appointments so your dentist can chart your progress. You will be advised to wear the Inman Aligner for somewhere between 16 and 20 hour a day, and your dentist will probably advise you to use a retainer after you have completed the treatment.
All in all Inman Aligners have proven an extremely effective and successful means by which teeth can be straightened and realigned, thereby allowing for improved confidence and comfort. Inman Aligners are far less noticeable than the traditional metal braces with which most of us are familiar, and through their use you can achieve the smile you want within the space of a few weeks.
